DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley University football looks to return to the top of the conference in 2025, opening the new season at home on Saturday, Sept. 6, when they host Hampden-Sydney at noon on Robert A. Lipinski Field.
The Aggies' six-year reign as Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) champions ended in 2024, despite finishing with an 8-2 regular-season record. During that dominant stretch from 2017 to 2023, DelVal went a perfect 50-0 in conference play. The defense remained elite last season, ranking second in all of NCAA Division III in total defense and allowing just 220.5 yards per game. The season concluded in the MAC-Centennial Bowl, where two of the nation's top defenses clashed. Franklin & Marshall edged out DelVal in a 7-0 defensive battle.
DelVal opened the 2024 season in explosive fashion when Nahsir Morgan set a program record with a 99-yard touchdown reception on the Aggies' first offensive play from scrimmage.
Week two brings a major matchup as the Aggies host defending MAC champion King's College on Sept. 13 for the conference opener, the day after the 2025 DelVal Athletics Hall of Fame induction. Last season, the Monarchs snapped DelVal's nine-game win streak in the series, winning 21-14 in overtime—their first victory over the Aggies since 2013.
DelVal then travels to Albright on Sept. 20, a team the Aggies shut out last season, before returning home on Sept. 27 to face Lebanon Valley. The Aggies have dominated that series, winning 10 straight, including a 21-16 victory last year.
After a bye week, DelVal hits the road for back-to-back games—first at Eastern on Oct. 11, then at FDU-Florham on Oct. 18. In last year's matchup with the Devils, defensive standout Jaquez Mabin set a program record with five sacks and went on to earn a spot on the All-America Second Team. The Aggies have also controlled the series with Eastern, winning both matchups since the Eagles joined the MAC, including a shutout last season.
On Oct. 25, Stevenson visits Doylestown for a noon kickoff. The Mustangs handed DelVal one of its two losses last season by blocking a game-tying extra point and intercepting a late pass to seal the win.
DelVal then takes on Alvernia (Nov. 1) and Misericordia (Nov. 8), holding a combined 14-0 all-time record against the two programs.
The regular season concludes on Nov. 15 with the annual Keystone Cup rivalry game against Widener. In last season's meeting, quarterback Louie Barrios IV tied a school record with six touchdown passes—four of which went to Alvaro Lora, also tying a program mark for touchdown receptions in a game. DelVal defeated Widener 49-26 and extended its win streak in the series to nine games. Widener still holds the longest win streak in the rivalry with 11 straight victories from 1992 to 2002.
