DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley University and its men's and women's cross country teams welcomed participants from around the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) to the campus for the MAC Cross Country Championships Saturday.
The women's team claimed 12
th place in the 14-team field for the 6K earning 329 team points. The men's team finished 14
th among the 15 teams with 411 team points. Each member of the women's squad recorded a personal-best time for their home course this season.
Emma East was the first to cross the line for the Aggies placing 64
th with a time of 26:18.7.
Lindsay Taylor followed in 69
th with a time of 26:39.5.
Emma Haas and
Kamella Gechter finished in the top 100. Haas crossed the line at 27:39.4 for 90
th followed by Gechter in 94
th with a time of 27:48.9
Arianna Askew,
Samantha Swearingen and
Lexi Anderson rounded out the field for DelVal with times of 28:04.8, 28:36.7 and 28:56.6.
Matthew Skikus was the lone Aggie to finish in the top 100 on the men's side taking 74
th with a time of 28:51.3.
Jake Cammarota was the next across the line with a final time of 30:28.7 for 108
th place.
Isaac Boyer,
Aidan Gallagher and
Brendan Forman were the next group to cross the finish line. Boyer clocked in at 31:37.2 followed by Gallagher at 32:03.7 and Forman at 32:18.5.
Jack Bisignano,
Caleb Messenger and
Shane Ocampo rounded out the field for the Aggies. Bisignano recorded a final time of 33:41.0. Messenger finished in 34:20.3. Ocampo was the last to place for the Aggies with a time of 36:04.2.
The Aggies are back in action next Saturday, Nov. 8 for the ECAC Championships.
