GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Delaware Valley cross country teams traveled to Dream Park in New Jersey for an NCAA Regional Preview on Saturday afternoon.
The women's squad all recorded personal-best finishes to push the team to a seventh-place finish in the 14-team field. The finish is the best for the women's team in a meet that size in program history.
Emma East led the pack in 15
th place with a time of 24:57.8.
Lindsay Taylor followed just under a minute behind, 25:43.8, placing 31
st.
Emma Haas came in third for the Aggies placing just shy of the top 50 with a final time of 26:28.5.
Kamella Gechter and
Lexi Anderson rounded out the point scorers for DelVal with times of 26:33.4 and 27:38.7, respectively.
Eva Herrera and
Samantha Swearingen both came in under the 28-minute mark crossing the line at 27:40.5 and 27:45.2.
Arianna Askew and
Alannah Perkins rounded out the field for the Aggies. Askew clocked in at 28:11.7 followed by Perkins at 31:20.4.
The men's team placed 16
th in the 20-team field for the 8K open at the battle.
Matthew Skikus led the pack with a top 50 finish clocking in at 28:13.4. Issac Boyer followed just about two minutes later with a time of 30:04.4.
Jake Cammarota finished just over a minute shy of a sub-30 time clocking in at 31:11.5. Both
Brendan Forman and
Aidan Gallagher finished in 32 minutes. Forman recorded a final time of 32:18.7 while Gallagher recorded a time of 32:31.8.
Jack Bisignano (34:35.5),
Shane Ocampo (36:38.1) and
William Hale (39:29.4) rounded out the field for the Aggies all finishing under 40 minutes.
The race marked the final of the regular season for the Aggies. DelVal will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 for the MAC Championships hosted on their home course.
