BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Delaware Valley University cross country teams competed at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.
On the men's side,
Matthew Skikus paced the Aggies with a time of 28:41.1 over the 8k course. DelVal placed 31st out of 35 teams with 871 team points.
Jake Cammarota knocked 20 seconds off his best mark for a new personal record of 30:07.07, followed by
Isaac Boyer just a minute behind.
Brendan Forman also set a personal best with a 31:39.8, while
Aidan Gallagher rounded out the team scoring with a 32:20.8. Additional Aggies competing in the 8k included
Jack Bisignano (34:35.9, PB),
Shane Ocampo (36:00.9, PB), and
William Hale (39:45.7).
In the women's 6k,
Emma East led DelVal with a 90th-place finish in 25:19.5. The Aggies finished 27th out of 34 teams with 682 points.
Lindsay Taylor was close behind at 25:27.7, while
Emma Haas followed with a personal best 26:28.6.
Kamella Gechter and
Arianna Askew closed out the team scoring with times of 27:15.2 and 27:35.6, respectively. Gechter's run marked an improvement of more than 40 seconds for a new PR.
Eva Herrera also finished, clocking 30:56.5.
The Aggies return home next weekend to host the Green and Gold Invitational on Saturday, October 11.
