SAUCON VALLEY, Pa. – Jack Brennan and
Mark Gates led the Delaware Valley men's golf team to a fifth-place finish in the Moravian Weyhill Classic on Monday afternoon.
The 12 teams from 11 universities played the Weyhill Course at Saucon Valley County Club. The track plays 6862 yards with a par of 72.
The University of Scranton finished first with an impressive team score of just 12 over (296) and all five golfers finished in the top ten. Jack Novis won the event carding a 70 (-1) with 13 pars and a trio of birdies. With a team score of 331 (+47), the Aggies finished eight strokes back from Chestnut Hill College.

The top finishers for the Aggies, Brennan and Gates, wrapped up with a 78 (+7) tying with Chestnut Hill golfer Chase Forsyth for seventh. Gates birdied par three wholes one and 16 while Brennan sank one on a par five whole 12.
Nick Lienhard tallied an 85 (+14) tied for 32
nd sinking a lone bird on the 12
th.
Greg Gipe rounded out the scoring for the Aggies with a 90 (+19). His five pars and a birdie saw him finishing tied for 42
nd.
Lucas Baldinger was the odd man out carding a 99 (+28), he birdied the par three fifth.
The Aggies are back on the course on Monday, October 7
th hosting FDU-Florham at Lookaway Golf Club.
