WILLINGBORO, N.J. – Daniel McColgan captured his first career victory at the Knights Spring Invitational on Sunday, leading Delaware Valley golf to a second-place finish.
Delaware Valley competed against Arcadia and Stockton at Rancocas Golf Club in windy and rainy conditions. The par-71 course played at 6,602 yards. Arcadia finished first with a team score of 342, followed by the Aggies at 356 and Stockton at 370.
McColgan earned medalist honors with a round of 82 (+11), finishing two strokes ahead of Antonelli and Stubley. He led the Aggies with 11 pars and posted his best nine on the back, shooting a 38.
Jack Brennan placed sixth with an 87, followed by Trent Parkhurst (91) and Mason Henne (96) to round out the team scoring.
Patrick Taylor also competed for the Aggies, recording pars on the second, third, ninth, and 17th holes en route to a round of 100 (+29).
Delaware Valley returns to action at the Abington Invitational at Philmont Country Club on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m.
