STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field programs broke four program records at the Big Apple Invitational Saturday.
Grace Kane currently holds the record for the women's 60m with a time of 8.17 set back in 2022. Kane took to the track in New York shaving off 0.03 seconds to set a new program record and career-best mark in the event of 8.14.
Olivia Smiarowska joined in on the record breaking topping the school-best mark in the women's 200m for the first time since 1992 with a new time of 26.35. Kim Douglass previously held the program's top performance in the event with a time of 26.8.
Justin Kaufman extended his own program record in the men's 800m, previously broken by the runner in 2023. Kaufman, who entered the meet following two consecutive silver-medal finishes in the last two meets, clocked in at 1:56.35 in the event to top the previous program best by nearly three seconds (1:59.33).

James Mahana recorded a record-breaking performance for the Aggies in the weight throw. The previous mark, set in 2012, was set at 14.41m. Mahana reached a distance of 14.90 at the invite to set a new program-best for the first time in 11 years.
