MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Delaware Valley women's cross country team achieved its best finish in 14 years at the 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, placing 12th. The men's team finished 15th out of 16.
Emma East led the Aggies, finishing 39th with a time of 25:31.1. Gabriella Nye from Widener won the 6k event with a time of 22:33.5. Misericordia took the team title, with four runners finishing in the top 15.
Lindsay Taylor finished 67th with a time of 26:52.5, while
Eva Herrera and
Samantha Swearingen crossed the line in 86th and 89th place, just ten seconds apart.
Kamella Gechter rounded out the women's team, finishing 112th with a time of 29:45.3.
On the men's side, Lebanon Valley claimed first and second place, with Rory Lieberman winning the championship, followed closely by Matthew Santana. Lebanon Valley also had runners finish in 7th, 8th, and 16th positions.
Mathew Skikus was the top finisher for the Aggies, completing the 8k course in 26:55.7, good for 87th place.
Caleb Messenger (32:12.3) and
Colton Del Collo (33:11.4) finished in 113th and 117th, respectively.
Jake Cammarota finished 121st with a time of 33:58.7, followed closely by
Isaac Boyer, who finished in 34:10.2.
Matthew Izuka,
William Hale, and
Aidan Gallagher also competed for the Aggies, with Izuka achieving a personal best time of 34:11.5.
