DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley University men's and women's cross country teams hosted their first of three home events on Saturday morning.
The women placed ninth in the 6K tallying 209 total points. The men's team also claimed ninth in the 8K with a total of 257 points.
Lindsay Taylor was the top finisher on the women's side. The junior clocked in at 33
rd overall with a time of 26:43.6.
Emma East also finished in the top 50 crossing the line at 27:20.4.
Emma Haas,
Arianna Askew and
Kamella Gechter all finished in a pack. Haas led the group with a time of 28:19.4. Askew and Gechter finished back-to-back with times of 28:26.2 and 28:31.1, respectively.
Samantha Swearingen finished under the 30-minute mark, taking 62
nd with a final time of 28:56.90. Alexis Anderson was just six seconds shy of clocking in at 30 minutes with a final race time of 30:06.2.
Wendy Smith rounded out the field for the Aggies clocking in at 33:37.80.
Matthew Skikus was the first of the Aggies to cross the finish line placing 59
th with a final time of 29:47.9.
Jake Cammarota was less than a minute behind finishing with a time of 30:29.5.
Isaac Boyer and
Aidan Gallagher finished in the middle of the pack for DelVal crossing the line in 31:10.0 and 32:42.6, respectively.
The trio of
Brendan Forman,
Shane Ocampo and
Jack Bisignano rounded out the competitors for the Aggies. Forman clocked in just a second over 35 at 35:01.70. Ocampo and Bisignano finished back-to-back with times of 36:28.6 and 36:45.6, respectively.
The Aggies take a short two-week break before returning to action on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh.
