BETHLEHEM (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley men's golf team took part in the Weyhill Classic at Saucon Valley Country Club on Monday and finished fourth out of seven competing teams with a score of 342.
The teams played Saucon Valley Country Club's Weyhill Course, which played 7,107 yards at a par 72.
A pair of Aggies finished tied for 12th out of 39 golfers. Mark Gates and Ethan Saxe each pencilled in 12-over 84. Saxe shot three birdies on the front nine and finished the front nine with a 41. Gates fired 42 on each nine with six pars over his first nine holes and three consecutive to finish his round.
Jake Kinzer finished close behind Gates and Saxe, finishing tied for 17th with an 86. He started and finished the front nine with birdies and had four pars on the back nine.
Robby Meredith had three pars on each nine to finish with an 88, good for tied for 24th on the day. Ryan Foley also finished with six pars and turned in a 95 to finished tied for 31st.
The University of Scranton won the event with a 317. The hosts Moravian University finished closely behind in second place with 320.
Moravian's Jake Haberstumpf won the event with a one-under 71. Full results can be found here.
The Aggies will be back in action Tuesday, October 4th at Brookside Country Club for a match against DeSales.
