Box Score DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University women' soccer team scored one goal on one shot, but it was visiting Susquehanna University that controlled play and came away with a 5-1 non-conference win under the lights on Saturday night.
The Aggies (1-5-1) came into the game depleted by a few injuries, and were out possessed the majority of the game by the Riverhawks (5-2) who finished with an 18-1 edge in shots on goal. Susquehanna scored twice in the second half as Kate Ross got on the board in just the fifth minute and Casey Grehan followed with a tally in the 24th minute. Samantha Chillis and Marley Clendenin picked up assists.
Maddy Burns put the Riverhawks up, 3-0, in the 58th minute with an unassisted tally, but DelVal got it back nearly 15 minutes later. Junior
Sarah Young added to her team-lead in goals with another long shot from 25 yards out that snuck in under the cross bar. It was Young's second of the season.
Susquehanna got the goal back on a nice header by Caroline Lewis in the 74th minute and Hailey Steinmetz tacked on one more in the waning minutes for the 5-1 final.
The Aggies will wrap-up their four-game home-stand on Wednesday against Immaculata at 7 p.m.
