DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) –
Evan Augsburger picked up the lone win in singles as the Delaware Valley University men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at home against DeSales University Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies fell to 2-6 overall and dropped to 1-1 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom play. DeSales improved to 5-5 overall, 2-0 MAC Freedom
Augsburger earned the Aggies only point as he bested his opponent in the final singles match of the day with a 7-5 set followed by a 6-3 set. The rest of the day belonged to DeSales, as they defeated the Aggies in all 10 of the first singles sets and all of the doubles matches.
The men's tennis team returns to action as they travel to St. Davids, PA this upcoming Tuesday, April 9, for a match against Eastern University at 2:45 p.m.
