LANGHORNE (Pa.) -- The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team snapped its four-match losing skid with a 5-4 victory at Cairn University on Tuesday afternoon.
There was a slight rain delay before the match, and each singles match was played as a pro-set to ensure all finished before dark.
The Aggies won four singles matches, lost one, and forfeited another.
Aubrey Errickson competed at first singles and won, 8-3, and
Allie Vaccaro earned an 8-4 triumph at second singles.
Erin Volov dropped her pro-set at third singles, 8-6, but
Miller Huertgen was perfect at fourth singles with an 8-0 win. At fifth singles,
Nicki Fox triumphed with an 8-4 win.
The doubles team of Fox and Volov won at second doubles, 8-4, but Huertgen and Vaccaro were downed, 8-6, at first singles.
DelVal has two matches remaining on the schedule, both road conference bouts, beginning at FDU-Florham on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
