DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis sprung into action on the first day of spring with a stellar, 6-3, performance over Bryn Athyn for its first win of the season Wednesday afternoon.

Nick Gaetano, and Nick Princetta opened the season for the Aggies with four straight victories. Lombardo won with scores of -2 and 6-1 and Harkcom earned a pair of 6-1 wins. Princetta needed three sets and scores of 6-2, 3-6, and 11-9 to win his match. Vince Rothbort dropped his tilt, but Evan Augsburger got DelVal back in the win column with back-to-back 6-4 sets for the 12-8 victory.
Ryan Lombardo and Zach Harkcom won the Aggies first doubles match by a final score of 8-1. The pairs of Gaetano/Princetta and Rothbort/Augsburger were both defeated by the Lions in the only remaining doubles matches, 8-4 and 8-2, respectively.
The Aggies are now 1-1 overall and will head to Moravian College Friday for their match at 4 PM.
