BALTIMORE (MD) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team, under new head coach
Mary Lou Cardie, opened its 2017-18 season by competing at the two-day, Goucher College Invitational.
Team scoring was not part of the fall event as all participants had three matches over Saturday and Sunday.
For the Aggies, all six competitors picked up at least one victory. Leading the way was junior
Chloe Dennerlein, who went 2-1 and placed fifth at number three singles.
Freshman
Aubrey Errickson won one of three contests and placed sixth at number one singles while sophomore
Erin Volov did the same in the fourth singles draw.
Senior
Allie Vaccaro went 1-2 and finished seventh at second singles. Junior
Nicki Fox and
Miller Huertgen teamed up for first doubles and notched a 1-2 mark, en route to placing seventh.
DelVal will host Gwynedd Mercy University for a non-conference match on Tuesday, October 2.
