DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Immaculata University took all three doubles' matches and four of six in singles' action for a 7-2, non-conference win over host Delaware Valley University.
The Mighty Macs won for the eighth time in 11 matches this season while the Aggies fell to 4-8.
Immaculata posted 8-1 scores in all three doubles' matches to start the competition. The squad then took triumphs at number one, two, three and five singles for the win.
DelVal got its points from
Chloe Dennerlein and
Nicki Fox at third and sixth singles respectively. Dennerlein posted a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Morgan Jacob while Fox had a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Catherine Zirolli.
Laken Henry nearly picked up a third win for the Aggies but she dropped a three-set match to Caitlin Savage, 7-5, 2-6, 10-6 at third singles.
Erin Volov won six games in a straight-set loss to Elizabeth Lipscomb at the fifth spot.
DelVal will open Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom action on Sunday, April 8 (1 p.m.) when it travels to DeSales University.
