DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team dropped a pair of Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom matches on Saturday, falling at Misericordia University 8-1 before being edged by the same count at Wilkes University.
After today, the Aggies move to 4-13 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Erin Volov was the lone winner at Misericordia as she won via a 10-8 tie-breaker at sixth singles after losing the first set 6-3 and taking the second, 6-0.
Chloe Dennerlein also went to a tie-breaker in her match at fifth singles, but fell 12-10 after losing the first set 6-2 and winning the second, 6-3.
At Wilkes, the doubles duo of
Allie Vaccaro and
Laken Henry brought home a win at third doubles by a count of 8-4. At second singles, Vaccaro lost the first set 6-1, but bounced back with a 7-5 win before losing 10-7 in the tie-breaker set.
The Aggies will return home for their next match against Alvernia University at 1 p.m.
