DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to visiting Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom foe Eastern University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Eagles (5-2, 1-2 MAC Freedom) took all three matches in doubles. At second doubles,
Melanie Mayhew and
Erin Volov won five games, but that is the closest the Aggies (4-11, 0-2 MAC Freedom) got.
Eastern won the first three singles matches before
Laken Henry and
Chloe Dennerlein won at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Henry wont by scores of 6-3 and 6-4 while Dennerlein won 6-3, 6-1.
The Aggies will take to the road for another MAC Freedom match at Misericordia University on Saturday at 11 a.m. They will travel to Wilkes the same day for a match slated for 3:30 p.m.
