Cardie Earns First Win At DelVal As Women's Tennis Beats Gwynedd, 5-4

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team won four singles matches to secure first-year head coach Mary Lou Cardie's first victory as head coach of the Aggies.

In the first head-to-head match of the season for DelVal, freshman Aubrey Errickson stepped up at number one singles to earn an 8-3 victory over Nikki Diaz. The Aggies dropped a point at number two singles, but Chloe Dennerlein secured an 8-0 win at the third position.

DelVal also took the fifth and sixth singles matches thanks to 8-2 and 8-1 victories by Miller Huertgen and Nicki Fox, respectively.

The Aggies dropped the first two doubles matches, but secured the match victory with an 8-0 win at third doubles by Huertgen and Fox.

DelVal is 1-0 on the young season and will look for another win at Alvernia University on Monday, October 8 at 3:30 p.m.
