READING (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at Alvernia University in fall action on Wednesday.
The Aggies' shot came at third singles where
Chloe Dennerlein went three sets against Laura Covely. After getting swept in the opening set, Dennerlein came back to sweep Covely, 6-0 in the second. However, Covely pulled out a 10-7 tiebreaker in the third for the win.
Miller Huertgen picked up six games in a 6-2, 6-4 setback at fifth singles while
Allie Vaccaro won four games in a 6-2, 6-2 loss at second singles. Dennerlein and
Erin Volov teamed up at second doubles and took home four games in an 8-4 setback.
DelVal will next compete at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Championship in Wilkes-Barre on October 20 and 21.
