BETHLEHEM (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis team began its 2017-18 campaign with a 9-0, non-conference loss at Moravian College on Saturday.
It was a homecoming for Aggie head coach
Jason Toedter, who starred as an undergraduate for the Greyhounds from 2001 to 2004. He won a school-record 54 matches and a conference championship during his time.
DelVal won 10 games over five singles' matches (forfeit at sixth singles), including five from
Pat Klingerman in a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Mason Hudnall at the fourth spot. Freshman
Ryan Lombardo took four in a 6-2, 6-2 setback to Chris Csencsits at third singles while
Nicolas Princetta icked one up at second singles.
Princetta and Zack Harcom dropped an 8-1 decision at first doubles while Klingerman and Lombardo teamed up at the second position (forfeit at third doubles).
DelVal will host immaculata University for a non-conference match on Wednesday, September 20 (4 p.m.).
