DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley University picked up a pair of wins in singles competition but it wasn't enough as the Aggies dropped a 7-2, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match to visiting DeSales University.
DelVal fell to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in league action while the Bulldogs upped their marks to 12-1 and 2-0.

Allie Vaccaro and Chloe Dennerlien were victorious at second and sixth singles respectively. Vaccaro needed three sets but downed Amber Achenbach, 6-4, 5-7, 8-6. Dennerlein swept Kelsey Kaziauskas, 6-2, 6-0.
Natalie Hoffman had a three-set battle at first singles against DeSales' Sarah Lightner. Hoffman took the first set, 6-1, but fell, 6-3, in the second. In a pro set to determine the winner, it was Lightner with the 10-7 victory.
Hoffman and
Melanie Mayhew picked up five games in a loss at first doubles. Vaccaro and
Laken Henry dropped an 8-5 decision at second doubles while Dennerlein and
Megan Stanley nearly won at third doubles before falling 8-6.
DelVal will host Misericordia University for a MAC Freedom match-up on Saturday, April 8 (1 p.m.).
