DOYLESTOWN (PA) – King's College clinched a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom tournament berth thanks to a 9-0 victory over host Delaware Valley University.
The Monarchs improved to 9-6 overall and 4-1 in conference action while the Aggies fell to 0-7 and 0-5. DelVal will wrap up its season on Sunday when it travels to league opponent FDU-Florham.
Saturday's match, which began on DelVal's campus and ended at the Doylestown Tennis Club due to inclement weather, saw King's give up just four games.
Nicolas Princetta picked up three of them for the Aggies at number two singles in a 6-1, 6-2 setback to Tyler Millan.
Zack Harcom and
Harry Guenst picked up the remaining game for DelVal in an 8-1 loss to Nathan Carl and Luke Whitenight at number one doubles.
