DOYLESTOWN (PA) –
Chloe Dennerlein and
Megan Stanley picked up wins in singles play and they also teamed up for a doubles victory, but it was visiting Penn State Abington that came up with the 6-3, non-conference triumph.
The Lions evened their record at 5-5 while the Aggies fell to 3-7.
Dennerlein picked up her eighth win of the season in 11 matches at sixth singles as she blanked Duyen Hy, 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile Stanley got her first victory at fourth singles with a 6-3, 6-2 score over Janie Saile. The two then combined for an 8-4 triumph over Madison Kimball and Fatoumata Cisse at third doubles.
DelVal nearly had two other wins in doubles action. At the first spot,
Natalie Hoffman and
Melanie Mayhew dropped an 8-6 decision while
Allie Vaccaro and
Laken Henry fell 8-4 at second doubles. Hoffman and Henry each picked up seven games in their singles' action while Mayhew took five games in her contest.
The Aggies are back in action on Wednesday, April 19 when they host Trinity Washington University.
