Box Score READING (PA) – Albright College's Andrew Sussingham scored less than nine minutes in and it proved to be the lone tally of the night as the Lions downed visiting Delaware Valley University in a non-conference game.
Albright improved to 2-3 while the Aggies fell to 2-2.
Sussingham received a cross from Jared Leckburg and found the back of the net from close range. It was just the second shot of the night – both by Sussingham. The teams would combined for 30 shots the rest of the way but nothing crossed the goal line. DelVal's last chance came with 1:38 to go, but
Austin Wilson's shot sailed high.
Albright finished with a 21-11 advantage in shots and an 8-2 lead in corners.
Sean Conroy and
Connor Hedgepeth each played a half in net for the Aggies and they each recorded four saves.
DelVal will host Wilson College for a non-conference game on Monday, September 12 (7 p.m.).
