Men's Soccer Drops Season Finale to Stevens, 3-0

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Despite a strong defensive effort the Delaware Valley men's soccer team couldn't recover from an early deficit, falling 3-0 to Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday in their regular season finale.

Stevens struck first in the 8th minute when Carey slipped a pass through to Kekesi, who buried it to make it 1-0. The Ducks continued to press, earning multiple offsides before doubling their lead in the 31st minute as Kekesi netted his second of the day off a feed from Martinez.

Nick Becker kept the Aggies in it with several key stops late in the first half, including a save on a Pinho shot from the middle of the box in the 41st minute. Delaware Valley had its best chance just before halftime when Roy Hevener fired wide left after a long buildup.

The intensity picked up in the second half as both sides traded fouls. Delaware Valley's Rourke Watson and Mylotte were shown yellow cards within a four-minute span midway through the period as the Aggies fought to slow the Stevens attack. The Ducks' Hagen also received a yellow moments later.

Out of the stoppages, Delaware Valley regained control in possession and earned their lone shot on goal in the 55th minute when Watson tested the Stevens keeper from close range, but Montoulieu made the stop. Becker turned away two more shots in the half — including a diving save on Bonavita — to keep it close.

The Ducks sealed the win in the 79th minute when Hagen converted a penalty kick, bringing the score to its final 3-0 margin.

Becker finished with four saves, and Delaware Valley totaled two shots in the match. The Aggies wrap up the 2025 season with a 10-5-2 overall record and 2-3-2 mark in MAC Freedom play.
