NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its major men's soccer awards on Tuesday, recognizing three Delaware Valley University players with All-Conference honors, while head coaches Shaq Stephenson and Sean Touey were named MAC Freedom Coaching Staff of the Year.
Stephenson and Touey led the Aggies to a 10–5–3 record, marking the best season in program history. The 10-win campaign is just the second in team history and the first since 1998, when DelVal finished 10–7–1. The Aggies improved on last year's 9–8–2 record.
Gianluca D'Alterio, a Doylestown native, earned Second Team All-MAC Freedom honors. The sophomore forward led DelVal with 10 goals, ranking fourth in the conference. His 32 total shots and 19 on goal each ranked eighth among all MAC Freedom players. D'Alterio recorded two multi-goal games this season, coming against PSU-Berks and Valley Forge.
Joining him on the All-MAC Second Team was Roy Hevener, who matched D'Alterio with 20 total points, tallying seven goals and six assists. His six assists ranked third in the conference, while his point total tied for sixth. A season highlight came against PSU-Scranton, where Hevener notched two goals and one assist. He also buried a penalty kick in a key 2–1 conference win over King's College.
Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Becker was named an All-MAC Honorable Mention after earning three MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week awards during the 2025 season. Becker started 14 games, posting an 8–4–2 record with 61 saves, a .722 save percentage, and a 1.35 goals-against average. He ranked second in the conference in total saves (4.36 per game) and set a career high with 13 saves in the team's 2–1 win over King's.
