DelVal Women's Tennis Falls At Home To Eastern, 8-1

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley University picked up its lone win in doubles play as the Aggies dropped an 8-1, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom decision to visiting Eastern University.
 
The Eagles upped their record to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in the league while DelVal fell to 7-11 and 0-4.
 
The Aggies' triumph was at third doubles as Magen Moore and Tess Hansler combined for an 8-3 decision over Leslie Henry and Hannah Reed. Moore and Hansler had the top DelVal showings in singles competition as well. Moore went three sets before falling to Leslie Henry at fifth singles 6-4, 2-6, 10-4. Hansler dropped the first set, 6-1, at fifth singles before forcing a tiebreaker in a 7-6 setback in the second set to Emily Thomas at sixth singles.
 
DelVal will be right back on its home courts on Sunday when it hosts Stevenson University for a non-conference match.
