WILKES-BARRE (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis team was defeated by King's College, 9-0 in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match on Saturday.
The Aggies fell to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Monarchs improved to 6-5 with a 2-0 MAC Freedom mark.
Seniors
Colin Evoy and
Jase Shakun and freshman
Josh Richardson all suffered 6-0, 6-1 losses at first, third and fourth singles respectively. Freshmen
Nicolas Princetta and
Anthony Snyder both had 6-0, 6-0 setbacks at second and fifth singles. DelVal did not produce a player for sixth singles.
Evoy/Shakun and Richardson/Snyder dropped identical 8-0 decisions at first and second doubles. The Aggies did not have a third doubles team.
Delaware Valley hosts Bryn Athyn College for a non-conference match on Sunday, April 17 (1:00 p.m.).
