BRYN ATHYN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis team fell on the road at Bryn Athyn College, 6-3 in a non-conference match on Monday.
The Aggies dropped to 0-4 on the season while the Lions are 3-1.
All three of DelVal's victories came in singles competition. Freshman
Nicolas Princetta took a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second singles. Senior
Jase Shakun played at third singles and came away with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Freshman
Josh Richardson was the victor at fourth singles by a 6-1, 6-2 score.
Senior
Colin Evoy battled at first singles but ultimately suffered a 3-6, 4-6 defeat. Freshman
Anthony Snyder dropped his match at fifth singles, 1-6, 1-6 and the Aggies took a forfeit loss at sixth singles.
Evoy/Shakun and Princetta/Richardson were both topped in doubles competition by identical 3-8 scores. DelVal did not have a third doubles team.
Delaware Valley travels to King's College for a conference match on Saturday, April 16 (11:30 a.m.).
