HILTON HEAD ISLAND (SC) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team opened its Spring Break trip to South Carolina with a 9-0 setback to Drew University.
 
The Aggies fell to 3-4 on the season while the Rangers improved to 2-1.
 
The first doubles tandem of Melanie Mayhew and Natalie Hoffman pushed Ty Ty Nguyen and Jessica Cheng before falling 9-7. Alexandra Vaccaro and Alyssa Huntington won four games in their loss at third doubles.
 
DelVal managed to win just 10 games over the six singles matches. Huntington won four in her 6-1, 6-3 setback to Marta Muncharaz at number six singles. Laken Henry took three games in a 6-3 loss to Andrea Defillo at fifth singles.
