Box Score GLENSIDE (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team won the inaugural Battle for the Bucks-Mont Hammer, 11-9 at Arcadia University on Wednesday.
The Aggies evened their record at 3-3 while the Knights dropped to 2-4. The two teams announced their new rivalry series last September and plan to make the game an annual tradition. The name refers to the location of the two schools (Delaware Valley in Bucks County and Arcadia in Montgomery County), and the sledgehammer was chosen to represent the blue-collar mentality of the two young programs.
Sophomore
Chris Coyle opened up the scoring for DelVal on an extra man opportunity just under seven minutes into the contest. Arcadia bounced back with three straight goals for a 3-1 lead. However, the Aggies came right back with four consecutive tallies and led 5-3 with 9:51 remaining in the second quarter. Freshman
Austin Sensenig posted two markers and sophomore

Matt Brady restored the four-goal margin, hitting the back of the net with 8:46 and 3:36 on the clock respectively. The Knights tallied twice in the final three-plus minutes but DelVal was able to hold on for the victory.
