DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley men's lacrosse honored seniors Kieran Schneider, Ashton Benkwitt, Danil Didden, and Juan Zurita before its 2026 season finale against King's College on Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Hickling made a pair of early saves, but after a slashing penalty on the Aggies, King's capitalized on the man-up opportunity to open the scoring. The Monarchs continued to apply pressure, while Luke Witko had a shot blocked and Peter DelRossi was turned away with five minutes remaining in the first quarter. Following a Delaware Valley turnover, Lynch's shot was stopped, but Wilson scooped up the rebound and scored to make it 2-0. Hickling added three more saves, and another King's attempt rang off the post to close the opening frame.
Both teams traded turnovers early in the second, but King's took advantage of a DelVal shot clock violation to extend the lead. James Cadott nearly answered, but his shot struck the crossbar. That sparked four consecutive Monarchs shots before Walsh found the back of the net to make it 4-0. Luca Aliano also hit the post with 6:51 remaining, but King's added two more goals before halftime for a 6-0 advantage.
Delaware Valley struck quickly to start the third as Witko scored off the opening faceoff. On the next possession, King's turned the ball over, and Schneider collected the rebound and buried it to make it 6-2. Both teams sent chances wide before the Monarchs scored back-to-back goals with just over five minutes left in the quarter to push the lead to 8-2. King's added three more before the end of the third, including two man-up goals, for an 11-2 lead.
The Monarchs opened the fourth with four goals in the first five minutes, but the Aggies responded with five straight shots before Dalton Richter scored after a caused turnover by Danil Didden. A minute later, Cadott forced a turnover and turned it into his third goal of the season. Delaware Valley added late goals from Aliano and DelRossi, but despite nine more shots, could not cut further into the deficit in the 15-6 final.
Delaware Valley closes the 2026 season with a 1-14 overall record and an 0-7 mark in MAC Freedom play.
