Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team suffered a 12-4 setback to visiting Centenary College on Wednesday.
The Cyclones (3-2) tallied the first two goals before freshman
Austin Sensenig put the Aggies (1-3) on the board with 2:56 to go in the opening quarter. After a Centenary goal, sophomore
Chris Coyle got DelVal back within one off a pass from sophomore
Nick Shendge. The Cyclones recorded two straight to go ahead by three with 5:27 left in the half. Freshman
Jordan Smith cut the deficit to two with 4:35 remaining. The teams then endured an hour-long lightning delay before playing the final three minutes of the second quarter.
Centenary led 5-3 to begin the second half and pulled away with four straight markers. Smith potted his second goal of the game with 2:04 left in the third for the final DelVal tally. The Cyclones added three more goals in the fourth.
Michael Balsamo hit the back of the net four times for Centenary and Nolan Gottshall registered two goals and two assists. Gottshall also picked up seven ground balls. Joey DeBiasse scored twice and Chris Snow contributed one goal and one assist. Kenton Gottshall, Trevor Krupinski and Denzel Thompson each scored one time while Michael Muff notched one assist. Kevin Switzer put forth an impressive effort in goal, stopping 19 shots.

Cori Grobes totaled six ground balls. Freshman
Matt Tordone went 11-of-19 on faceoffs and had five ground balls. Senior
Jon Fogarty made nine saves in goal.
The Aggies travel to Rosemont College on Saturday, March 19 (4:00 p.m.).
