DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis team opened the fall portion of its 2016-17 with a tough 9-0 home loss to Penn State Abington.
 
The Aggies managed to win just a combined three games over the six singles matches, one each by Alex Weiss, Pat Klingerman and Nicolas Princetta. Klingerman and Princetta teamed to get a game at second doubles as well.
 
The match of the afternoon was at number three doubles as DelVal's Ben Schweiger and Anthony Snyder took on the Lions' Ilker Erkut and Alexander Dunetz. They went the distance and more before Erkut and Dunetz took home a 9-7 victory.
 
DelVal will take part in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Championships this weekend in Wilkes-Barre.
