Box Score GLENSIDE (PA) – Arcadia University and Delaware Valley University combined for all four goals in a five-minute span in the second half, but it was the host Knights that came away with the 3-1, non-conference victory.
Arcadia improved to 3-8 while the Aggies slipped to 4-8.
The teams were scoreless for the first 46 minutes of the game before the craziness ensued. First it was the Knights as Allie Hines took a cross from Sydney Cyr and put the ball in the left side of the cage.
DelVal then tied the contest just 49 seconds later as it converted a penalty corner. Senior
Cecelia Lounsberry got the ball at the top left of the circle and sent a shot that went through a screen and into the cage. It was Lounsberry's first goal of the season.
However, back came Arcadia and it took the lead for good 38 ticks after Lounsberry's tally as Gabby Sedares took a feed from Linsday Tobey and connected. Tobey made it 3-1 with 18:46 remaining off thanks to a tip-in of a cross from Hines.
The Knights edged the Aggies by margins of 15-10 in shots and 13-11 in corners. Freshman
Rosie Bishop made three saves in goal for DelVal, which will travel to DeSales University for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom game on Saturday, October 8 (2 p.m.).
