GWYNEDD VALLEY (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team dropped its match at Gwynedd Mercy University, 9-0 on Saturday.

The Aggies have a 3-2 record while the Griffins are 5-1. Senior Jessica Oszvart lost at first singles to senior Taylor Michener, 6-2, 6-2. Freshman Katie Garthaus defeated sophomore Natalie Hoffman at second singles, 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Alexandra Vaccaro faced sophomore Amanda Goff at third singles with Goff coming out with a 6-1, 6-1 win.

Senior Magen Moore and sophomore Laken Henry both dropped 6-0, 6-0 decisions at fourth and fifth singles respectively. Sophomore Alyssa Huntington was on the short end of a 6-1, 6-2 margin at sixth singles.

Oszvart/Vaccaro and Hoffman/Henry were both defeated at first and second doubles, 8-0. Moore and Huntington lost at third doubles, 8-4.

DelVal hosts Hood College on Sunday, September 27 (1:00 p.m.).
