Box Score READING (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's soccer team was shut out by host Albright College, 4-0 in a non-conference game on Saturday.
The Aggies dropped to 2-6-1 while the Lions have a 3-4-2 record.
Albright got on the board early when junior Emily Sousa hit the back of the net just 7:41 in to the contest. Sousa had another goal with 12:53 remaining in the opening half. Junior Rebecca Mallon assisted on the tally. With 5:23 to go before the break, freshman Erica Bross put the Lions up by three with a helper from freshman Emily Mollica.
Junior Megan O'Brien had the final goal with 35:25 left in the game off an assist from junior Dylan Shipe. Albright peppered the DelVal defense with 31 shots in the match and held the Aggies without a corner kick opportunity. DelVal senior
Brenna Coll made eight saves in the first half. Freshman
Emily Schukraft stopped seven shots in the second stanza. Freshman Payton Bogatch, sophomore Emily Sears and freshman Christine Allison combined for the Lions' shutout.
The Aggies host Neumann University on Tuesday, September 29 (4:00 p.m.).
