DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team tallied the first goal of the contest before Moravian College took over in a 5-1 win by the Greyhounds on Wednesday.

The loss drops the Aggies to 3-5-1 and Moravian has a 6-2 record.

Junior Max Drummond put DelVal ahead just three minutes into the contest. He blasted a bouncing ball from the middle of the box. The Greyhounds went up 3-1 in the blink of an eye, notching three straight within 2:15. With 23:45 remaining in the half, freshman David Durski crossed the ball from the left side. The ball was headed forward by sophomore Connor Phillips before senior Brett Harder directed it into the goal. Just 1:39 later, Phillips put the Greyhounds in the lead with an assist from junior Saul Marcial. Freshman Ron Jones put away a pass from freshman Koshane Marshall just 36 seconds later.

Jones had a second tally with 33:39 to go in the second half. He followed up a muffed shot by Marshall. The final goal came with 25:42 on the clock. Phillips notched his second of the match on a shot from 25 yards out. He took a pass from junior Robert McKinley.

Senior Brian Boland played 63:09 and made one save. Sophomore Bryan Yaskowski was in goal for the final 26:51. DelVal sophomore Austin Brotman and freshman Connor Hedgepeth each played a half and stopped two shots apiece.

The Aggies are home again on Tuesday, September 29 against Penn State Brandywine (7:00 p.m.).
