ABINGTON (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's tennis team hit the road for the first time in the 2015-16 season and the Aggies suffered a 9-0 setback to Penn State Abington.
The Lions improved to 2-0 while DelVal, in just its second year of varsity play, fell to 1-1.

Jessica Oszvart went the distance with Gabby Eberhardt at number one singles before falling 2-6, 6-4 and 6-1.
Alexandra Vaccaro forced a second-set tiebreaker in a 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) loss at fourth singles.
Natalie Hoffman won six games at the number three singles spot.
Melanie Mayhew,
Tess Hansler and
Magen Moore also competed in singles action for DelVal.
In doubles play, Hansler and Hoffman teamed up at the second position and won five games in an 8-5 loss to Amanda Shulski and Janie Saile. Mayhew and Osvart won two games at number one doubles as did Vaccaro and
Emilyann Maialetti at number three doubles.
DelVal will host Neumann University on Thursday, September 17.
