Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Junior
Karla Keler tallied the tying goal with 11 seconds remaining in regulation to help the Delaware Valley University women's soccer team salvage a 2-2 tie with visiting Cabrini College on Friday.
Keler put in a rebound after sophomore
Kylie Williams' shot was saved from close range. The Aggies have a 1-2-1 record and the Cavaliers have a 0-3-1 mark.
It was the Aggies who took the lead in the first half on senior
Nikki Dunlap's solo effort just 8:21 into the contest. She dribbled the ball through the left side of the box before striking one just inside the far post. However, Cabrini scored the next two for a 2-1 advantage. Senior Dana Peterson deposited a rebound off senior Meghan Martin's blast that hit the post with 30:28 on the clock. Peterson struck again with 16:40 to go before halftime. She received a cross from senior Devon Miller and put a shot in from the middle of the box.
Both teams recorded two shots over the pair of overtime periods but could not find the game-winner. The squads were also even with 18 shots apiece. Cabrini held a slight edge in corner kicks (4-3). Senior
Brenna Coll and sophomore Alivia Dietsch each stopped six shots for their respective schools.
DelVal begins a two-game road trip at Muhlenberg College on Sunday, September 13 (1:00 p.m.).
