DelVal Men's Tennis Drops Decision To Bryn Athyn

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley University was victorious in two matches for the first time this season, but the Aggies dropped a 7-2 home decision to Bryn Athyn College.
 
The Lions improved to 2-7 while Delaware Valley fell to 0-11. The Aggies will wrap up their first season of competition in more than 50 years on Saturday when they travel to Freedom Conference foe Eastern University.
 
Colin Evoy picked up his first singles win of the year and just the second for an Aggie this year as he blanked Andrew Dexter at first singles, 6-0 and 6-0.
 
The team's remaining win came at third doubles where the tandem of Ben Schweiger and Anthony Terlizzi defeated Ray Nilo and Austin Grubb, 8-3. The two joined the team today to complete the roster for the final home match and they picked up just the second doubles win of the year for Delaware Valley.
 
Joseph Palacious dropped a tough, three-set decision to Phil Brandt (4-6, 7-5, 10-3) at number three singles while Sam McCaffrey, fell 7-5, 6-1 at number four singles. Schweiger netted six game at fifth singles while Terlizzi had four at sixth singles. Evoy and Alex Vo won four games before losing at first doubles.
