DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Gwynedd Mercy University picked up wins in all six matches that took place and were also awarded forfeits in three spots as the Griffins came away with a 9-0, non-conference victory at Delaware Valley College.
Gwynedd Mercy improved to 3-1 while the Aggies fell to 0-7.
Colin Evoy nearly picked up a win for Delaware Valley at number two singles as he took the opening set by a 6-2 score over Blaine Grisak. Grisak rallied for a 6-2 triumph in the second set, forcing a third-set tiebreaker. It went back and forth before Grisak pulled out the 10-8 win.
Alexander Weiss had to retire in the second set of his number one singles match while
Alex Vo and
Joseph Palacios also competed for the Aggies. Weiss and Evoy dropped an 8-1 decision at number one doubles while Vo and Palacios suffered an 8-2 setback at second doubles.
