Susquehanna Rallies For 3-1 Women's Soccer Win Over DelVal

Box Score SELINSGROVE (PA) – Susquehanna University scored three unanswered goals in the second half as the Crusaders downed visiting Delaware Valley University, 3-1, in a non-conference match-up.

The win lifted Susquehanna to 6-4-2 on the season while the Aggies slipped to 3-8-1.

DelVal was outshot, 13-2, in the first half, but one of its shots found the back of the net for the lone tally of the opening 45 minutes. It came with 4:55 left in the stanza as Nikki Dunlap dribbled the ball into clear space and put a shot past Crusader goalkeeper Jordyn Slocum. It was the senior's fifth goal of the season.

However, Susquehanna scored three times in an 18-minute span in the second half to erase its deficit. Chloe Eisenhuth tied the contest with 28:37 remaining while Geena Raogzine (11:46 left) and Alyssa Bolger (10:50 left) followed.

Susquehanna had a 25-4 advantage in shots and a 7-0 lead in corners. Brenna Coll made eight saves for the Aggies, including seven in the first half. Slocum finished with three stops.

DelVal will host Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom foe Wilkes University for Homecoming and Family Weekend on Saturday, October 10.
