Box Score WILKES-BARRE (PA) – Wilkes University gave the Delaware Valley University field hockey team its third straight loss with a 5-1 win in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom game on Wednesday.
The Aggies are 6-9 overall and 2-3 in the conference. The Lady Colonels have an 8-8 record and they are 3-2 in the MAC Freedom.
Wilkes sprinted out to a 2-0 lead just 4:36 in to the contest. Junior Jenna Skrinak tallied the first goal at 1:33 assisted by junior Haley Coleman. Sophomore Keighlyn Oliver scored just over three minutes later with an assist by Skrinak. The Lady Colonels took a 3-0 advantage into the break after junior Taylor Ryan hit the back of the cage with 9:05 remaining. Sophomore Marissa Surdy had the helper.
Skrinak recorded her second of the match just under six minutes in to the second period off a pass from senior Lexi Thompson. Skrinak finished off the hat trick with 14:43 on the clock. She blasted a one-timer into the cage after a pass from Surdy. DelVal ruined the shutout with 10:46 to go. Sophomore

Taylor Prichett in the slot for the goal.
Both teams managed 19 shots but Wilkes put 14 of them on goal compared to just nine for the Aggies. DelVal had a large advantage in penalty corners (14-3) but could not capitalize. Lady Colonels' freshman Dallas Kendra made seven saves in the win while senior
Emily Aldridge stopped nine shots for the Aggies.
DelVal looks to keep its playoff hopes alive when it hosts conference opponent Misericordia University for Senior Day on Saturday, October 24 (12:00 p.m.).
