Box Score ALLENTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College's upset bid at regionally-ranked Muhlenberg College fell just short as the Aggies dropped a 2-1, non-conference decision.
 
The Mules, ranked eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the latest national poll, improved to 3-0 while Delaware Valley fell to 1-2 on the season.
 
It was a strong effort from a young Aggie squad whose roster features one senior, two juniors, eight sophomores and three freshmen. Muhlenberg got the lone goal of the first half on a Colleen Touhey tally. The Mules then made it 2-0 as Taylor Pihi connected 14:20 into the second half.
 
However, Delaware Valley did not go away quietly as Nicole Dunlap got loose at the top of the box and put a shot in the right corner of the corner with 9:45 to go. It was Dunlap's second goal of the season. The Aggies pressed for the game-tying tally but Muhlenberg held on for the win.
 
The Mules had advantages of 19-4 in shots and 7-3 in corners. Claudia Winter stopped three shots in the loss.
