Box Score GLENSIDE (PA) – Rachel Longenecker scored the lone goal of the game with 15:58 remaining as host Arcadia University posted a 1-0, non-conference victory over Delaware Valley College.
 
The win improved the Knights to 2-1 on the young season while the Aggies fell to 0-2.
 
Longenecker took a crossing pass from Tess Brzezynski and one-timed it past Delaware Valley keeper Emily Aldridge. The Arcadia defense made the lead stand as the unit held the Aggies without a shot the rest of the way.
 
Arcadia held advantages of 10-4 in shots and 10-3 in penalty corners. Aldridge recorded four saves in the loss while Mia De Plato was credited with one save and the shutout.
 
Delaware Valley will have its home opener on Saturday, September 6 (12:30 p.m.) when it welcomes Elmira College to Doylestown.
