Box Score CHESTER (PA) – Brittany Allison scored the lone goal of the game late in the first half as regionally-ranked Widener University registered a 1-0, non-conference shutout over visiting Delaware Valley College.

The Pride (6-0-1), listed eighth in the latest rankings, dominated the contest as they held a 34-1 advantage in shots, including 20 in the first half. Only one found the back of the net and that came with 6:05 left when Jaclyn Miller sent a through ball to Allison, who scored from 15 yards outs.

Senior goalkeeper Julie Burnell kept the Aggies (2-5) in the game all evening as she recorded 13 saves (six first half, seven second half) to stop numerous Widener opportunities. Valarie Perretti was credited with the shutout for the Pride.
