ANNVILLE (PA) -- Delaware Valley College's
Alexis Maylor picked up 15 of her team's 26 points as the Aggie women placed 10th out of 12 squads at the 2013 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships which were held over three days at Lebanon Valley College.
Maylor, a junior, notched eight points in the heptathlon as she battled neck-and-neck with Elizabethtown College's Katy Fogel and took second with 4,173 points (Fogel has 4,203 points). Maylor also took fifth in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, 6.75 inches and sixth in the high jump as cleared the bar at 5 feet, 0.25 inches. Those got her four and three points respectively.
Delaware Valley also had the runner-up in the javelin as freshman
EmmaRose Boyle took second with a throw of 118 feet, 9 inches. Senior
Tracey Forsythe took seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12 minutes, 40.39 seconds while freshman Shelly Salvemini was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 10.75 inches.
Elizabethtown captured the MAC title with 175 points, 14.5 more than the host Flying Dutchmen.
