Track and Field Competes at Coach Pollard Invitational at Moravian

BETHLEHEM (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Coach Pollard Invitational at Moravian on Friday and Saturday. The meet was called on Saturday due to lightning and rain with a handful of events not being completed.

Logan Cooper was the top finisher for the Aggies on the day, finishing in second place in the men's 400 meter dash with a time of 50.29 seconds. Matt O'Dunlami took sixth in the same event with a time of 50.94 seconds. Moses Madison ran 52.46 seconds to finish in 16th place.

O'Dunlami finished in 15th in the 100 meter dash, running 11.41 seconds, while Cooper ran 11.52 seconds for 19th. Madison ran 11.74 seconds in 29th place.

Wayne Hamilton took 12th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.46 seconds.

In the men's shot put, James Mahana threw 13.51 meters and Brandan Perot threw 13.44 meter to finish in 12th and 13th respectively. Mahan also finished ninth in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.21 meters.

In the men's javelin, Alex Bassler finished in 13th with a throw of 45.57 meters. Luke Moore threw 43.16 meters and Nicholas Lienhard threw 42.75 meters to finish in 21st and 22nd respectively. Billy Mayer threw 40.54 in 26th place.

Delaney Hilferty had the best showing on the women's side with a 2nd place finish in the discus throw at 32.30 meters. Kerrin Long had a stellar performance as well, taking 5th place at 30.54 meters. Hilferty took tenth in the shot put at 10.31 meters.

Kelly Hastings ran 2:34.12 in the 800 meter run for 14th place.

Molly Laird and Jaida Wilson ran 1:08.44 and 1:10.23

The Aggies will head to the Penn Relays on Thursday for their next meet.
